This is for the women who fought for the good of every Aba woman in the year 1929 (Aba women riot )in respect of the international women’s day. Let me take you back in time; these women refuse to be oppressed they wanted the women to be involved in government and politics like the warrant chiefs. Then the British indirect government use their fellow black men to oppress them, increased taxation,also the low prices of agricultural products leading to economic Depression.
These women refused to be treated in such a manner they fought against oppression and majority of them or should we say 90% of them died in the process the name of the leader was madam okezie.This happened 93 years ago.
